Rules, Terms and Conditions

STANTON WATERS WOODLAND WALKS RULES 

Whilst we try to keep these rules as basic and low key as possible, we feel they are very important in maintaining our beautiful woodland so we can all continue to enjoy them. Please read the rules carefully in order for you to assist us in keeping this facility open for you, the dog owners, to use and get the most out of your visit. 

These rules are in place to protect you, your dog(s) and also the other wildlife that call Stanton waters woodland walks home. 


  1. Please no flora or fauna to be brought in or taken out or damaged intentionally

  2. Please DO NOT allow your dog to dig at the fence or in scattered woodpiles you will see dotted around; they are habitat piles for invertebrates and small mammals.

  3. Please leave on time. If for any reason beyond your control (unable to retrieve your dog for example)  you will still be onsite after you hour time slot has elapsed please call the emergency contact number 07525 356815 for assistance.

  4. All gates must be re-secured once you have driven or passed through at all times and all gates with locks must be relocked after your use. 

  5. A maximum of 8 dogs and 4 vehicles can be used on one booking. (Additional dogs can be added to the booking but this is with permission being granted from the Stanton Waters Woodland Walks team prior to your arrival and at additional cost as stated on the bookings and costs page. This can be done via email or social media). Vehicle numbers are restricted as a courtesy to our neighbours and for the owners using the track for access. 

  6. ALL waste must be taken with you when leaving the woodland, or disposed of in the bins provided  including dog waste bags. To keep the woodland an enjoyable space for everyone please pick up after your dog. (Failure to adhere to this rule could result in the offending person(s) being banned from Stanton Waters Woodland Walks indefinitely). 

  7. The Hirer or anyone using the facility shall not interfere with or make any alteration to the layout or arrangement of the woodland. (Failure to adhere to this rule could result in the offending person(s) being banned from Stanton Waters Woodland Walks indefinitely).

  8. At no time or under any circumstances should a dog be tethered/tied to any structures on site, this includes but is not limited to trees, fencing, posts and gates. 

  9. You should accompany your dog on their walk at all times, so that you are aware of what your dog(s) is/are doing and that they are safe and complying to the rules, terms and conditions.

  10. For security your vehicle(s) registration number must be added to every booking you make. CCTV is in operation 24 hours a day. 


TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Stanton Waters Woodland Walks is a special place to be enjoyed by many, please ensure you carefully read our T&C's to assist us in keeping the woodland in its beautiful condition for all. Anyone found to be in breach of these conditions will immediately be asked to leave and this may result in the offenders being banned indefinitely. 


 General Terms and Conditions:

•By paying to use Stanton Waters Woodland Walks secure woods, you acknowledge that you agree to the site rules, terms and conditions.

•Please DO NOT arrive more than 5 minutes before your allocated time slot to minimise traffic and allow the previous hirers to have left Stanton Waters Woodland Walks. If you arrive at the woodland at your designated time to find the previous hirer still onsite this must be reported to the Stanton Waters Woodland Walks Team. Again when leaving please be ready to leave at your allocated time to minimise disruption for the next customers arrival. (Failure to do so could result in cancellation of future bookings).

•If a thunder storm is forecast, in severe cases, closure of the woodland may occur at short notice and we will ask you to rebook your slot free of charge or a refund will be offered.

•Please take extreme caution when driving along the main drive way, and do not exceed MAXIMUM OF 10MPH at any time. (The main drive is a single lane, off road track used by other pedestrians and vehicles).

•The Stanton Waters Woodland Team has absolute discretion to permit or prohibit all types of activity on the land. 

•The booking is personal to the Hirer and may not be transferred or sublet.

•The Hirer shall ensure that noise nuisance is kept to an acceptable level while using the woodland.

•All persons and their property, including dogs on the woodland, are there at their own risk. Stanton Waters Woodland Walks DO NOT accept any liability for injury or damage/loss of property. The site is a natural woodland and as such has trip hazards, tree stumps, loose tree branches and some sharp shrubs. so please take care when using the site. 

•I understand myself or my dog(s) may sustain accidental injuries while at Stanton Waters Woodland Walks and I agree to cover any personal or veterinary fees pertaining to myself or my dog(s). Neither Stanton Waters Woodland Walks nor its team members will accept any responsibility for the death, injury or illness of any person(s) or dog(s) whilst using our facility. You are strongly advised to insure your pet for all eventualities.

•The Stanton Waters Woodland Walks team retain full permission to enter the land in order to carry out inspections or potential maintenance during your booking. 

•Smoking, BBQ’s & Fires ARE NOT permitted on site under any circumstance.

•Please take all waste with you, or use the bins provided . Food/drink, dog toys / tennis balls must be removed if brought on site even if broken. 

•Children under 17 years of age are allowed on site but must be supervised at all times by an adult of 18 years or older and not left unattended. 

•If your dog has been immediately unwell in anyway before, during or after using the woodland, or is suffering from a virus (i.e. kennel cough) please inform the Stanton Waters Woodland Walks team as soon as possible. We may be able to assist in transferring your booking to a future date without charge and/or prevent anything being passed to other dogs. 

•With the site being a natural woodland, wheelchair access is unfortunately very limited currently. The woodland trail is accessible but we do not recommend using the woodland unless you have the correct all-terrain wheelchair or experience with similar locations. Similarly all terrain Pushchairs/Buggies are capable of travelling around the woodland trail but in both cases, it could be weather dependant. 


Booking and Payment T&C’s:

•All bookings will need to be made via the online calendar where payment is required at the time of making the booking.

•A full refund will only be given when the booking is cancelled with a minimum of 48hrs notice. The cancellation must be submitted in writing to the Stanton Waters Woodland Walks team.

•No refund shall be given for cancellations of less than 48hrs notice for any reason.
